FEATURE YOU WON’T SEE IN THE DALLAS MORNING MOVEON.ORG NEWS
The Case That Could Topple Obamacare
Meanwhile The News’ “news”
*Panel: Back off on high blood pressure [treatment], AP/NYT, p. 1A – More cutbacks to old folks’ health care — recommended by “an expert panel!” (It’s the third you-don’t-need-all-that- healthcare story this week in The News! Becoming acclimated yet?) … These “expert” guidelines were published in the Journal of the American Medical Association — BIG backers of Obamacare! (But you don’t need to know that.)
*Effort to increase Fort Hood victims’ benefits blocked, p. 6A – Yes, blocked by Democrats — but DMN Dem scribe Emily Wilkins doesn’t come close to making that clear. She blames it on “partisan gridlock and the end of the year.” She also says “the military” classified the slaughter as “workplace violence rather than combat or a terrorist attack” — leaving Dear Leader Obama completely out of it. (Scu me, but this ALL came down from Dear Leader’s admin, sweetums.) … And for those who may not know, Cornyn isn’t labeled a Republican here either. (It’s the little things, folks. This is overwhelmingly a GOP-backed/Dem-opposed measure.)
*Deal gives Obama Guantanamo victory, AP, p. 12A – Well, that’s all that matters, isn’t it? Getting a “win” for Dear Leader? AP calls it a “victory” for Dear Leader’s “fight” to close Gitmo, “Obama’s achievement.” (Ain’t it great?!!) No matter that this “achievement” involves releasing more terrorists back to the battlefield. See below:
*Letters to the Editor, p. 18A – Uh-oh, The News’ Letters editor has kicked down the fence and soiled the flower bed again: two pro-Obamacare letters today, ZERO against. Yesterday: three anti-GOP letters, one in mild opposition to Obama. … Check out this hate from yesterday: The Texas legislature should “purge itself of radical ideologues with no common sense”; the“tea party … cares only about itself and nothing about the American people”; “most Republican candidates … “proudly espouse” not overregulating fertilizer plants “so they can blow up in the middle of neighborhoods”; Republicans want to go back “to a time when discrimination by race … was more common and accepted”; and, unless the GOP rids itself of tea partiers, its next convention sign will read “Only Fanatics Welcome.” Where’s your blessed civility, DMN? And the balance?
