Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*’Navigators,’ in video, urge applicants to lie, p. 3A – Kudos. Fine report. … Has it ever before occurred to The News to look at these “navigators?” Will it do so now? Let’s see.
*[Obamacare] Site may still be balky by target date, WashPo/NYT, p. 5A – “Balky” — you know, like an ol’ mule! (C’mon, who can fixan ol’ mule? Cut Obama some slack.) … The website problems, it sez here, are “so stubborn …” Oh, dear! … Let’s see — so the November 30th “fix” was another lie? It appears so. … Loved this: “Meanwhile, White House officials are struggling to make good on [Dear Leader’s] promise that Americans can keep their insurance coverage …” Hey – why doesn’t Dear Leader make good on his promise? Issue an Executive Order, man! Watch closely what the mainstream media are doing here: Dear Leader is being let down by “White House officials” who can’t make happen what he promised. They’re failing him. He’s helpless. He really intended that we keep our plans. That … is … a … lie. Government records show his admin knew in 2010 that 93 million Americans would lose their plans. … Of course, that context doesn’t appear here. (Surprise!)
*Marshaling the Authority, Editorial, p. 16A – “Lovey Howell” Willey’s crew demands an “enforcer” for new ammonium nitrate regs. Of course, the full West blast investigation isn’t complete — but no matter. Bring on the enforcer! … The News’ brain-drained-trust says Dem State Rep. Joe Pickett “doesn’t have a political motive, as far as we can tell …” (Uh, you did notice the “D” by his name? There are no Dems without political motives, guys.) … Fun Fact: Ol’ Joe wins elections out in El Paso with 100% of the vote. (See below.) Them are Saddamnumbers! … Review again below the handy ammonium nitrate map provided by The News earlier this year — though, as this editorial notes, the fertilizer “has been used repeatedly for terrorist bombings.”
*Filing: BlackBerry cut 178 Irving jobs; EnCana lays off 239 as it closes Plano office, p. 4D – Interesting Briefs tidbits buried deep in Business’ bowels. Layoffs??How’s this happening in our “improving economy?” … Also in these spine-hugging Briefs: Dean Foods’ stock falls more than 7%. Sez here “the nation’s largest milk processor’s” sales were off 2%, due partly to “a loss of business” at Wal-Mart. Ooo, not good — Wal-Mart?
Cheers and Go Conservatives!
