Dallas Morning News Bias – February 5, 2014

OP-ED YOU WON’T SEE IN THE DALLAS MORNING OBAMA ORACLE
*Obamacare Will Reduce Incomes Of Most Americans
NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING OBAMA ORACLE
*Obama’s radical DOJ civil rights nominee awaits confirmation
(Why haven’t we heard of this, DMN? This guy defended a famously BRUTAL cop-killer.)
*Obama’s debt hits $6.66 trillion
(More debt than in our first 227 years combined! But a snoozer at The News.)
*Report: Electric bills to rise 29 percent if environmentalists succeed
*GOP Senator: EPA regs may cause winter blackouts
*New Obamacare ads target young women with pets
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Report: [Obamacare] Benefits to slash workers, WashPo/NYT/AP, p. 1A – Well, bra-vo, DMN. Front-page bad news for Obamacare! … Check this out: the law “has bedeviled Obama since its passage in 2010 …” Poor baby! How ‘bout: “Obama’s policies have bedeviled Americans since 2009?” That not work?
*Fact Check – It’s complicated: Delving into jobs vs. workers, WashPo, p. 14A – Great! A “Fact Check” from a Democrat!! … Yes, of course it’s “complicated” — it’s not what you think. “First,” intones nimrod Glenn Kessler, “this is not about jobs. It’s about workers – and the choices they make.” (Ooooo, that’s deeeeep. And“workers” – good Commie lingo!) “Some might believe that the overall impact of the health law on employment is bad because it would be encouraging people – 2.3 million – not to work.” Ya’ think, GK? “Some” – “might” —think that? Kessler then  lets the Leftist cat outa the bag: “Others (him) might counter that universal health care is worth a reduction in overall employment.” Got that? Forget for a moment that Obamacare DOES NOT provide“universal” health care – millions are still left out — Dear Leader and the Left have NEVER cared aboutemployment or growing the economy. These, in fact, are anathema to their anti-capitalist agenda. … More and more, the curtain is drawn back.
*West Tragedy, Revisited, Editorial, p. 24A – How many “revisits” are we up to now? ‘Bout 9? From the Editorial Board alone? … “Lovey Howell” and crew have a nice pat on the back here for RINO Joe Straus – theirBoy In Austin. He gets it! … Especially nice use of hysterical rhetoric today, guys: “regulatory gaps … leave Texans vulnerable to potential industrial time bombs …” Lovey’s bunch also calls for legislation that “balances” – what, regulations versus business/economic concerns? No! Regs versus “the influence of the well-funded chemical lobby.” LOL.  (Isn’t it peculiar that the Left so often appears not well-funded in The DMN?)
*Distraction strikes again; Cyclist hit by distracted driver recovering, p. 1B – If you’re wondering why a nonfatal accident involving a bicycler riding in automobile traffic gets this big spread in Dallas’ newspaper of record, here’s the money line by Dem scribe Scott Parks: “So far, 41 states and the District of Columbia have banned texting while driving. Texas is not among them. [Vote Democrat!]” … Funny — The News obviously wants this driver ticketed specifically for phone-use, though he’s surely going to be sued for millions.  Missing context:texting bans have been ineffective at reducing crashes. (You don’t need to know that.)
*Panel brainstorms on ways to bridge [Dallas’] north-south ‘gap’, p. 1B – Talk about making “news!” AnEqual Outcomes/Income Redistribution symposium – sponsored by The DMN! Dem scribe Claire Cardona has the honors: Dallas must “overcome the economic divide between [its] northern and southern parts …” That’s the premise. It’s what these five Dems believe – it’s what Dear Leader is pushing — so that the starting point. No need to look into: 1) who says it’s government’s job to “fix” income inequality? 2) who says outcomes must be homogenous across a city? 3) why should governments choose winners and losers? 4) who’ll decide when north and south are adequately “equal?”
