Dallas Morning News Bias – January 19, 2014

NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING MOVEON.ORG NEWS
*Police report: ‘knockout game’ to blame in Dallas’ second attack in two weeks
(The racially-charged ‘knockout game’ comes to Big D? What will The News do? Ignore it — at least in print, though the police report said: [Responding officers believe that [Charles Pace] was the victim of the latest ‘knockout game.’”
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*[Wendy] Davis’ story not so simple, p. 1A – Holy crap! Pleased to see “Weaselly Wascally Wayne” Slater actually doing his job – telling truths about “Abortion Barbie”:
— she was divorced at 21, not 19;
— she “lived in a trailer” only a short time;
— her second husband paid her tuition to Harvard;
— once that bill was paid, she promptly divorced him;
— husband claimed her adultery a reason for divorce;
— she gave up custody of her children because “it’s not a good time for me right now.”
Nice job, “3-Dub!” I’m impressed! Feel dirty? Ashamed? It’ll pass, big guy.
*A bold student brought [MLK, Jr.] to speak at SMU, p. 1A – DMN Dem scribe Melissa Repko, who was born probably decades after what she describes here, claims the “civil rights struggle” was“slow to arrive at SMU’s campus.” Demonstrably false, ma’am. SMU offered the FIRST athletic scholarship to a black student in the former Southwest Conference. That’s before Texas, before Texas A&M, before Rice, before Texas Tech, before Baylor, before TCU and before Arkansas. It went to Jerry LeVias, whom you note here only as “SMU’s first black athlete.” SMU was WAY ahead of its peers, ma’am — your smear notwithstanding.  … (See, folks, pointing to SMU as having been especially racistadds to The News’ template that Dallas is still racist. Neither are true.)
*It’s time to dissect W’s presidency, p. 1A – The News invites all to submit a Freedom of Informationrequest to the Bush Library now that archives are available!! YIPPEEEEE! A How-To box, with address, fax number and everything! How convenient! They didn’t do this for Slick Willie’s library. They didn’t do this when an East Texas’ Detention Center was releasing illegal immigrants into our midst. (I filed one for that and never heard a word back. Must follow-up with the AG.)
*[Obamacare] Equality provision delayed, NYT, p. 4A – Missing context: This marks at least the15th time Dear Leader has decreed a change to this law — on his own and without precedent. It’s also about the 15th time our mainstream media haven’t given a damn. More missing context: eleven state attorneys general claim Dear Leader is breaking the law, and just this week Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) called Dear Leader’s changes “constitutional anarchy.”… No room for any of that in The News.
*A pregnancy, an abortion, a painful story to share, Blow column, p. 1B – I’ve always said The News will never run a story on a woman who regrets her abortion. “Fretful Stevie” Blow doesn’t disappoint here. … Of course, Stevie ignores that perhaps 80 percent of late-term abortions are purely elective. (That, Stevie, means “the injection that [stops] the baby’s heart],” you so blithely note here,kills a perfectly healthy unborn child.) … See below, the other side of late-term abortion.
*Addressing race and moving forward, Q&A with MSNBC ‘Commentator’ Toure, p. 5P – Nowhere’s a RADICAL! And The News presents him as a valued source for “moving forward” on race!! LOL. … Toure – the guy who said Romney was promoting the “niggerization” of Obama — shocking even his MSNBC buds — the guy who founded an anti-white newspaper in college, the guy who thinks 9-11 was an inside job. The News tells you NONE of that, nor does perhaps-addled Dem scribe Jim Mitchell question Toure on ANY of it. Hilarious. And pathetic.
