Dallas Morning News Bias – January 13, 2014

NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING MOVEON.ORG NEWS
*Obama’s executive decrees face Supreme Court reckoning
*Cruz: Obama administration ‘lawless’
(This is considered crazy talk at The News. Didn’t see any crazy people at Cruz’s sold-out Saturdayevent in Allen, though.)
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Embracing uphill fight, p. 1A – Holy crap! Gotta say “kudos for the front-page feature on tea-party challenger Katrina Pierson. (And Michelle Malkin in the pic?!! ID’d and everything? Gotta be a DMN first.) Dem scribe Gromer Jeffers Jr. does a nice job too. No snark, no sneer. … That’sprogress, baby – the conservative kind!
*New F-150: a heavy bet on lighter metal, p. 1D – (Oh, dear. Back to work.) DMN Dem scribe Terry Box fails to note WHY we’re now seeing aluminum F-150s with 6-cylinder engines. It’s not for safety, kind readers — it’s Dear Leader’s deadly new CAFE standards. (See below). … This observer can’t recall ever seeing a CAFE-standards-kill piece in The News. Anybody? Dear Leader’s new standards will, in fact, kill a LOT of folks — a lot more than the 15 who died at West. And that, recall, caused The News to spasm and spit, and demand massive new government regs. (The difference in journalistic approach is purely political.)
*Earnings offset jobs report, Bloomberg, p. 2D – You can forget December’s disastrous no-jobsreport. It means nothing. Sez here, “optimism over [unprecedented Fed-propped] economic growth and corporate earnings overshadowed [the] weaker-than-forecast jobs report.” Weaker-than-forecast? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha! In other news, historians now say the Hindenburg’s approach to Lakehurst, New Jersey, left much to be desired. … (Review the “weaker-than-forecast”report below.)
*At least 21 civilians die in Iraqi bombings, clashes, AP, p. 8A; Rigged [Egytian] balloting feared, McClatchy, p. 8A; Libyan official shot, killed, NYT, p. 9A – Three stories by three separate outlets and, though his foolish missteps have figured prominently in each arena, NONE mention Dear Leader. (That’s some uniform j-school instruction!)
