Dallas Morning News Bias – December 11, 2013

MANDELA QUOTES YOU HAVEN’T SEEN AND WON’T SEE IN THE DALLAS MORNING DAILY KOS
“From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-orchestrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution….Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.” 1991
“If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.” 2002

NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING DAILY KOS
*Obama’s tanking approval taking Dems with him;
(His approval among young voters has dropped to 41% — and The News won’t report it!)
*Cruz walks out on Castro at Mandela memorial
(Dear Leader Obama, though, shook the murdering tyrant’s hand. Go figger.)
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Mandela memorial: Shared struggle, tears, LATimes/NYT/AP, p. 1A; S. African leader [Jacob Zuma] jeered by crowd at memorial, AP, p. 17A – Twice here, once in each story, Dear Leader Obama is mentioned alongside Robert Mugabe“… [the crowd] cheered President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, former South African President Thabo Mbeki and, loudest of all, [for] Obama” and “U.S. President Barack Obama got the most enthusiastic reception. President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe got cheers, too.” Folks, Robert Mugabe is a world-class, blood-thirsty tyrant— a thug — a criminal, yet he’s noted here as simply one of many “dignitaries” and “world leaders”in attendance — and almost as popular as our president!!
*Much is read into Obama-Castro handshake, AP, p. 18A – C’mon, guys. This is page 1A stuff, no? What a pic! After all, only two U.S. presidents have shaken the bloody hand of a Castro: Bill Clinton and Dear Leader! … AP editorializes here that “by shaking Castro’s hand, Obama sent a message of openness that echoes a speech he gave at a Democratic fundraiser in Miami last month … ” Actually, we don’t know what the hell Dear Leader was thinking, do we? Maybe he thought Raul was his driver. … Note: reading this story, you’d not know Raul Castro is a Communist. The word does not appear.
*[Dallas] Mayor says local economy booming, schools lagging, p. 8B – DMN darling “Fred Flintstone” Rawlings said all the right things in his State of the City address: 1) invoked Mandela –check; 2) reminded everyone the 50th anniversary of JFK’s murder “showed that Dallas made major improvements in the last 50 years – check (the killing was Big D’s wake-up call, doncha know!); 3) said “but in order to ensure our success over the next 50 years, I think we have to reinvent and reimagine ourselves (i.e., navel-gaze); and said education is “the most powerful weapon to reimagine and reinvent the city.” (yes, the whole thing must be scrapped — like Dear Leader’s “transformation” of Amerika!) … For good measure, DMN Dem scribe Scott Goldstein reminds readers that Dallas is racist and mean: “According to recent [HUD] findings, Dallas officials promote discrimination against minorities and the disabled …” Thanks, Scott! But how ’bout this instead? Rawlings and other Dallas liberals seem confused about how best to redistribute the city’s wealth — or make everyone “equal”: move the “disadvantaged” north, which recent Obama HUD findings demand, or rebuild Dallas’ southern sector with taxes from the “wealthy.” (Never crossed your mind, did it, Champ?)
