Dallas Morning News Bias – November 28, 2013

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
(As predicted — though The News notes the day and some traditions, and includes Dear Leader’s lip-service spiel — George Washington’s initial Proclamation, which clearly defines the Judeo-Christian origins of this official U.S. holiday, is absent. Just sayin’.)

NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING MOTHER JONES NEWS
2) Obama approval still tumbling; hits new low in Ohio
3) Obamacare event hands out free condoms

Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Extra buying power; falling gas prices: fuel for holiday shopping, p. 1A – We’re s’posed to be geeked that gas is $3.29 nationally? Even though DFW gas is currently spiking, perched at $3.21? And this is “likely” to boost holiday spending? This “could” send shoppers into a frenzy? My, what a difference having a lefty in The White House makes with j-schoolers. … Recall above, folks, The News doesn’t report consumer confidence being down – again – this month.
*Small business portal is delayed, p. 1A – Our dictator has decided to delay more of his destructive new law till after the 2014 elections! But AP doesn’t mention elections till the final 3 inches, at thebottom of 7A. … And look! Another distracting new term for us all to get comfortable with! “Portal!”As in, “I went to the portal and the portal said this.” “The portal is open.” “It’s all working, except for this portal.” “The portal is your friend.” All very antiseptic, impersonal, no? … Better headlines: Obama delays health law again; Obama delays business mandate; Obama’s website ‘fix’ deadline missed.
*Let us give thanks for our changing flocks, Floyd column, p. 1B – Jaci takes the opportunity of Thanksgiving to report, “studies find virtually no academic or emotional disparity between children of straight and [homosexual] parents.” Gee, other ”studies” say just the opposite:
*[Homosexual] men skipping protection, NYT, p. 5A – Whoa! How’d this get past editors – (albeit a spine-hugging, single-column at the bottom of the page)? Kudos — especially for this M.D.’s quote:“Unprotected anal intercourse is in a league of its own as far as [HIV/AIDS] risk is concerned.” … Question: why is that “hate” speech when The Family Research Council says it?
