Dallas Morning News Bias – October 31, 2013

NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING PRAVDA PICAYUNE
1) NBC/WSJ poll: Obama approval hits record low
(The News forever tells us how badly Republicans have polled since the “shutdown” — but not this.)
2) Poll: 70 percent of American voters want Obamacare delay
3) AP: Government memo shows Obamacare site posed ‘high’ security risk
(DMN hacks run LOTS of AP — but they didn’t run this.)
3) Obama heckled at Boston speech
(When Ted Cruz gets heckled, The News finds space.)
4) Cruz: Obama has ‘absolutely been abusing his power’
5) NY doctors resisting Obamacare — 23% are participating; others are ‘afraid,’ ‘don’t know what they’ll be paid’
(You don’t need to know this. Yours always, DMN Editor Bob Mong.)
6) Deportations plummet in 2013
(Like Dear Leader told the Rooskie in 2012, ‘After the election, I’ll have more flexibility.’)
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Obama vows to fix crashed system, NYT, p. 1A – Who knew? Our community-organizing prez is an IT whiz too! Get to it, son! … Check it out: “Witchy Poo” Sebelius’ insolent, farcical testimony barely cracks The News’ front page today — a 5-by-4-inch box at whale-excrement level. (Even The NYT splashes her cavernous mug across the top of 1A.) Missing from The News’ coverage:
— In response to, “Isn’t Obama responsible for HHS?” Sebelius bleats, in part, “What-ever.”
— When asked if Dear Leader kept his promise — “you can keep your plan” — Sebelius croaked, “Yes.”
Obamacare’s “improved” policies include items many don’t need or want.
— Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) demanded to know why Americans were being forced from their policies — and her name appears nowhere in today’s DMN.
More below:
Fact Check: President Obama on keeping your health policy, WashPo, p. 12A – No, here’s the headline, guys: Obama gets ‘4 Pinocchio’s’ for ‘You can keep your plan’. Four, BTW, is WashPo’s top mark for dissembling — and The News edits this entirely from the report. Also edited out:
“The administration is defending this pledge with a rather slim reed — that there is nothing in the law that makes insurance companies force people out of plans they were enrolled in before the law passed. That explanation conveniently ignores the regulations written by the administration to implement the law. Moreover, it also ignores the fact that the purpose of the law was to bolster coverage and mandate a robust set of benefits, whether someone wanted to pay for it or not.”
*NSA breaks into Yahoo, Google, WashPo/NYT, p. 1A – Where’s Barry? Dear Leader isn’t mentioned at all in 30 inches of text.
*Beyond sex: ‘Blue’ scenes capture truths, Movie Review, p. 4E – Oh, good! The News now reviews porn flicks“It opens Friday at the Magnolia and Angelika Plano[!]” we learn. … DMN Dem scribe Chris Vognar evidently finds it odd that folks think this lesbian sex movie is a “lesbian sex movie.” See, we should get past this as there are deep emotional “truths” here. Vognar says watching this lesbian porn “puts you through the wringer with a blistering variation on the traumas of first love” — (and that’s a good thing!) And, of course, the loooooooong lesbian sex scene was necessary to “capture emotional and physical truths.” … Truths you won’t see reviewed in The News: “Betrayed, The Shocking True Story of Extortion 17 as told by a Navy SEAL’s Father”.Highlights: Dear Leader’s Rules of Engagement in Afghanistan are getting our troops killed at an alarming rate; Biden and Dear Leader recklessly ID’d SEAL Team 6 as responsible for taking out bin Laden. … Really a great read, Chris! When it’s a movie, we’ll look for your review!
