Dallas Morning News Bias – October 20, 2013

NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING PRAVDA PICAYUNE
1) Obamacare website taken down this weekend; Sebelius attends gala, won’t testify on rollout
2) Sen. Sessions: immigration enforcement ‘has collapsed’
3) Illegal immigrants promise ‘radical approach’
(Anarchy — courtesy of Dear Leader Obama.)
4) Illegals block deportation bus in San Francisco

Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*For Cruz, full steam ahead, p. 1A – Hey, at least today The News labels Todd “The Hack” Gillman’s front-page Op-Ed “analysis.” Good job, guys! … Here, Todd explores an apparently novel (to him) turn of events: Cruz won’t go away —  the people support him. … Todd’s front-page opinion:
— “Republicans got almost nothing to show for the 16-day government shutdown that ended last week, apart from a drubbing in the public eye.” (America, though, under Dear Leader, is not taking a drubbing.)
— Cruz’s efforts are “noisy,” “process-gumming.” (“Abortion Barbie’s” filibuster, on the other hand, was dulcet, efficient — a sweet moment of clarity.)
— “[Cruz’s] detractors in both parties are powerless to make him go away, be quiet, or play ball.” (Perhaps his “detractors” should contact the mafia, Todd.)
— Cruz is “the most reviled man in Washington.” (Badge of honor, dude.)
Geez, really — is The News the least bit worried that the “political conditions” it’s encouraging may “[contribute] to an atmosphere that will nurture violence” toward Cruz, Texas’ first Hispanic U.S. Senator? (Got that from today’s JFK50story — which AGAIN floats the notion that Dallas’ conservative “atmosphere” killed JFK. It works, no?)
*[Democrat] Governor hopes for [Obamacare] law’s success, NYT, p. 13A – There’s some news!! Thank you, DMN!! In other happenings: kittens like warm milk; Tony Romo likes foo’ball; Sinatra did it his way. … This piece, folks, simply offers The News a chance to float again the If-You-Don’t-Like-Obamacare-You-Might-Be-A-Racist theme.
*GOP gets out of control, Steve Blow column, p. 1B – “Fretful Stevie,” the Liberal Baptist, says he’s “an independent and a moderate,” that he really, really wants the Republican Party to be “strong and effective” — and by God, he wants that for the Dem party too! He says all that to say:
— the shutdown was “nonsense,” “folly”;
— the shutdown caused “a major government crisis”;
— calling for Dear Leader’s impeachment is not allowed in civil, sane circles;
— a tea party meeting “at a church in Bedford” is not a “formal” enough setting discuss important issues;
— tea partiers listen to ridiculous speakers who warn that “the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated U.S. leadership.”
— the GOP is rooted in “rooted in fear and anger”;
— the GOP is only about “things to oppose.”
Oh, yes, Stevie — you’re right down the middle! (BTW, Mr. Indie, you might read up on that Muslim Bro’hood thing.)
