Dallas Morning News Bias – October 16, 2013

OP-EDS YOU WON’T SEE IN THE DALLAS MORNING LIBERAL LANTERN
Obamacare Nightmare Just Beginning, by Ben Sasse
Goldwater-Rockefeller Redux, by Pat Buchanan
Assessing the Government Shutdown: The Long View, by Steven Hayward
NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING LIBERAL LANTERN
1) Obamacare deductibles a dose of sticker shock
(The Chicago Tribune has this. The News won’t touch it.)
2) Obamacare spreads demand for upfront deductible payment
(Thousands — upfront! Gee, The News never told us that would happen.)
3) Aetna CEO blast Obamacare marketplace: There’s so much wrong
4) Sebelius has Obama’s ‘full confidence’
5) Bad economy driving sale of hair, eggs, breast milk
(Talk about a misery index!)
5) GM raising truck prices to pay for rebates
(A Dear Leader success story!)
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Fiscal deal hits wall in House, NYT, p. 1A – Yeah, those crazy, intransigent, uncompromising conservatives are destroying the country. Everybody knows that. (Of course, “Fiscal deal hits wall in White House” has never appeared in The DMN.) … BTW, no details of all the concessions Republicans have offered in recent weeks. That might muddy the message, you see.
*Dallas execs: Time for action, p. 1A – That means time for The News to find some influential RINO businessmen to bash conservatives! And DMN Dem scribe Michael Lindenberger finds a bunch of ’em! One even calls tea partiers anarchists — just like Harry Reid! What a gold mine for The News.
*Dewhurst makes a sharp right, Christy Hoppe’s Quick Take, p. 3A – In five years of Dear Leader’s reign, you’ve not seen “Obama makes a sharp left” in The DMN.  So Texas’ moderate Republican Lt. Gov. calls for Dear Leader’s impeachment and, instead of reporting it, The News goes with its patented lib-OpEd Quick Take. (That’s right: a Quick Take on news The News didn’t report! Love it!) This allows Hoppe-Along Lefty herself to call Dewhurst a “bomb-thrower,” suggest he’s “tossing rational legal thought into the tall grass of the hinterland,” and sneer that GOP primary hopefuls are simply pushing conservatives’ buttons “like Avon ladies at a doorbell convention.” (Hahahahaha! Good one, Ms. Reporter!) … How ’bout a Quick Take on Dear Leader and Biden refusing to include themselves under Obamacare? Or maybe congressional Democrats refusing to give up their 70% Obamacare subsidies? Or how ’bout a reporter editorial on Dear Leader changing Obamacare whenever he gets the urge? … A real report on Dewhurst’s comments below:
