Dallas Morning News Bias – October 9, 2013

*I think the Tea Party is a reaction to an imperial White House. The president is elected to negotiate. That’s his job. … It’s true business is better than it was in ’09, but that’s like comparing, I don’t know, leprosy to cancer. I mean, ’09 was horrific. It’s definitely better today, but we’re a long way from any kind of robust recovery.
 Sam Zell, billionaire entrepreneur
*Our early fathers led our nation according to biblical principles. ‘Hope and change’ has become a cliché in our nation, and it is daunting to think that any American could hope for change from what God has blessed. … Regardless of what society says, we cannot go on much longer in the sea of immorality without judgment coming.
–The Rev. Billy Graham, 95,
1) White House skirts question on number of Obamacare enrollees
2) Sebelius: individuals may delay health care law like employers — just pay the fine
(This witch was ripped on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show. That is big.)
3) ‘Gestapo’ tactics meet senior citizens, foreigners, at Yellowstone; 21 ticketed at Grand Canyon
4) Ill. Dept. of Insurance: Obamacare ‘navigators’ raise identity-theft risk
5) Poll: 90% of native Americans do not find ‘Redskins’ offensive
6) GM exec warns of impeding auto bubble
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Fears of default mount, WashPo, p.1A – Of course they do! Just like the government-shutdown fears “mounted!”  Missing here: the federal government takes in $200-plus billion per month; our monthly debt-service is about $35 billion; the 14th Amendment requires Dear Leader Obama to service the debt first, before any other spending. … The News’ coverage quotes Dear Leader a lot here — but conspicuously leaves out: he again compared conservatives to kidnappers and arsonists.
*Thousands rally for [illegal immigration] overhaul, McClatchy, p. 4A – Missing context: Dear Leader and his goons bestowed special dispensation to this amnesty crowd, as The National Mall is officially “closed.” … (Really, The News is simply pathetic, no?)
*[Conservative] Group targeted health overhaul, p. 3A – Wow, you don’t say. And this is “news” why? Do liberal groups“target” stuff, have dealings with elected Dems? … Just look at the steely determination of The News to locate andexpose “sinister” workings of those who oppose Obamacare. It’s like, “We’re gonna get to the bottom of this outrage!” … BTW, has “Abortion Barbie” received any input, any strategic “blueprints,” from liberal groups?
*More experts sent to destroy Syria arsenal, NYT/AP, p. 12 – Syria will soon be the “expert” capital of the world! … But, I wanna know ’bout the al-Qaeda aligned “rebels'” arsenal, currently being provided by Dear Leader. That’s sorta fallen off The News’ radar.
*Geography as Destiny, Editorial, p. 16A – Even the death penalty must have EQUAL outcomes! So sez “Lovey Howell” Willey and her band of renowned central-planners. So how ’bout some quotas, guys — maybe 3 per Texas county every couple of decades? Take it outa the hands of citizens. Whatta they know? And once that’s met — bammo! — instant DP moratorium! Or perhaps we could run all cases could run through The DMN for approval?
*Letters to the Editor, p. 16A – Four Obamacare letters today: 3 pro, 1 against. Ted Cruz and Michele Bachmann are called“nutjobs,” John Boehner is charged with “treason.” Where’s the civility, “Lovey?”
