Dallas Morning News Bias – October 6, 2013

From yesterday:
*Giving ground on WWII Memorial, p. 1A – DMN Dem scribes Todd Gillman and Emily Wilkins quote two WWII vets here: one who says, “Obama is a great president. I’m not knocking him at all,” the other, “[The shutdown] is probably structured by Ted Cruz. He’s pleased, I think.” So Dear Leader Obama is the first U.S. president to cravenly close open-air war memorials during a shutdown and DMN scribes can’t find a single vet to say a bad word about him. That’s journalistic corruption, dear readers. … BTW, you haven’t and won’t see this in The News: a Park Ranger says, “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”
NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING PRAVDA PICAYUNE
1) Iwo Jima Memorial closed, barricades erected
2) Police remove vets from Vietnam Memorial
3) Obama halts overseas troops’ NFL, baseball coverage; Camp David stays open
4) 83% of federal government still operating
(But not a dime for war memorials. Tsk, tsk. BTW, Dear Leader’s had The White House closed for months — and our media don’t give a rat’s arse.)
5) Reid apologizes for nasty tone on Senate floor
6) Obama tries to shutdown private Blue Ridge Parkway inn
OP-ED YOU WON’T SEE IN THE DALLAS MORNING PRAVDA PICAYUNE
Who Shut Down The Government?, by Thomas Sowell
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*Destruction sold by the ton, p. 1A  The News wants a Pulitzer for getting ammonium nitrate banned someday. That’s pretty obvious. Today, they’ve hauled out the hysteria howitzers: pictures of death, mayhem and destruction — won’t you help us end the suffering?? One thing though — all the images shown are the result of terrorist attacks, (except West — and that’s still under investigation — and Toulouse, France.)
U.S. raids hit Libya, Somalia, NYT/WashPo, p. 1A – So we’re at war in Somalia and Libya now? Does Dear Leader know about this? He’s not mentioned in the story. … Also, The News runs this under the banner, War on Terrorism. There is no “war on terrorism,” guys. Dear Leader said so.
Lengthy GOP effort preceded budget crisis, NYT, p. 1A – Ooooo, sinister Republicans planned “for months” to try to stop Obamacare. I got news for you: we’ve planned and tried FOR YEARS – ever since this crap came up. And where’s this story? Democrats have planned government-run, socialist health care FOR DECADES.
*Suburbs key for [Wendy] Davis bid, p. 1A  Day Four of Let’s Get Wendy Elected! First there was, What does she need to do to win? Then, Look! She’s inspired the youth vote! Then, Can she get the Latino vote? And TODAY: Can Wendy get GOP women? … DMN Dem scribe Hoppe-Along Lefty says “Democrats believe” white Republican women“are slowly eyeing alternatives as the GOP moves further and further right.” Hoppe “reports” this as a fricking Marxistsits in The White House, propped up by the most left-wing party in our nation’s history. Hahahahahahahahaha! Good one, girlfrin’.
*Cruz inspires bipartisanship, but he’s its target, Todd Gillman’s Texas Watch – Let’s see, we have Texas Watch, Global Beat, Between Wayne Slater’s Ears, Quick Take, In the Kitchen with Hoppe (OK, I made that up)  — all manufactured opportunities for DMN reporters to pen liberal Op-Eds in the news.
*Arts and Life, Section E – Today’s book reviews: In God he still doesn’t trust — (memoir of virulent atheist Richard Dawkins); Harsh light — (Dallas was a bed of evil right-wing extremists when Kennedy was killed); Painful legacy of America’s racial past — (you guessed it); and When the deadliest nukes were our own, (reviewed by Tod “Che” Robberson himself!) … Any pattern here? No — of course not!! LOL
*Dinner is printed, Opinion feature, p. 1P – Can’t make it up, folks: In the midst of our nation’s epic ideological struggle, as our country’s very identity is up for grabs in so many ways, “Lovey Howell” Willey’s esteemed brain-trust picks as its lead Sunday feature …………… How To Make Dinner With A 3-D Printer. To paraphrase The Sundance Kid: “Y’all keep thinkin’, guys. That’s what you’re good at.”
