Dallas Morning News Bias – September 22, 2013

OP-ED YOU WON’T SEE IN THE DALLAS MORNING LOW-INFO VOTER NEWS
Bombs Away On Obamacare, by Sarah Palin
NOT NEWS TO THE DALLAS MORNING LOW-INFO VOTER NEWS
1) U.S. disability rolls swell in Obama’s still-rough economy
2) Afghan troop deaths hit record-high amid U.S. exit
(Another Dear Leader-orchestrated defeat for America.)
3) HBO plans Benghazi movie
(Don’t look for a peep on this — or the book — in The News.)
Meanwhile, The News’ “news”
*[Government] Shutdown threat is the new normal, WashPo, p. 1A – Hey, neat — front-page Op-Ed “news!” Oh, well. (Mainstream journalism is changing — it’s dead.) Check it out: “Washington feels like a car without a driver on a road without guardrail.” (LOL. These days, big “news” is what Washington FEELS LIKE to a lib reporter!); “In the current telling of some conservative groups, the Republicans won [the 1995 budget] showdown. This is not the widely held view among those who actually lived through it.” (A single requisite-aged RINO aide is then quoted, with no opposing view.); “[Ted Cruz’s potential filibuster] has left flummoxed Senate Republicans wondering what kind of double-somersault it would take to explain all of this to their constituents back home.” (Dear nimrod: he’d be filibustering the Senate’s removal of Obamacare-defunding from the House bill, as Harry Reid plans.); and the lede quote? Dear Leader Obama, of course — blaming the whole thing on Republicans. … Interesting what The News edited from this story: “Benefits payments, such as Social Security checks, would still go out, and critical functions such as national security would continue.”
*Eyewitnesses to history, JFK 50, p. 1A – Wow — embarrassing: DMN Dem scribe James Ragland totally confuses the infamous “magic bullet” theory — one bullet passing through Kennedy into Gov. Connally — with whether JFK was shot once or twice. Hey Jimbo: There’s no question Kennedy was shot twice. The “magic bullet” has nothing to do with that. … Can’t believe much of anything in this paper, folks.
*Coalition soldiers shot dead, NYT/AP, p. 26A – The News calls 3 U.S. special forces troops “coalition soldiers” – and buries it at the bottom of p. 26.
*Iraq funeral bombings kill 72, AP, p. 20A – AP simply refuses to note Dear Leader’s 2011 pullout in these stories. But they never fail to note “more than a decade after the U.S.-led invasion.”
*Bad call by Collin [County tax assessor] on toll scofflaws, Blow column, p. 1B – It’s just not enough for The News’ EdBoard to smack Republican Kenneth Maun around. Evidently, he’s still breathing, so Fretful Stevie Blow provides Round 2. Blow, like “Lovey Howell” Willey’s crew, thinks if other counties are “on board,” everybody should be! It’s called, going-along-to-get-along, sticking a wet digit in the breeze. It’s do-as-we-say-or-we’ll-make-you-famous. (It’s how we wound up $17 trillion in debt with food stamps in every pot.)
*Celebrations, p. 13E – Where ARE the homosexual marriage/engagement notices? DMN publisher Maroney said it was “the right thing to do,” yet we’ve not seen one in ages. (My take: The News stopped this for the almighty dollar — that “mean, mean green.”)
