F-Rated North Texans Leaving Office

Screenshot-5According to Michael Quinn Sullivan’s recent report “Dropping Fs”, several north Texas representatives who have done poorly in the area of fiscal responsibility are making the choice to not seek re-election next session.  The list includes:

As the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this year, the legislature increased state spending 25 percent from 2011 to 2013. And that was a GOP-controlled legislature with a near-supermajority in both chambers!

Their record of profligate spending has – again, in the words of the WSJ – put Texas more in line with “Sacramento” in budgeting.

  1. We need to pay close attention to those who will be seeking their seats. We will also need to scrutinize those who will be running for the office that Dan Branch is seeking.
